Purchase of Real Property
Buying a house, cottage, or property is one of the largest purchases many of us make and we understand how intimidating that can be. We are here to alleviate some of the stress you are feeling about your purchase and to get the property into your hands on time. You have responsibilities when purchasing a property, including sending us your Offer to Purchase, arranging financing and setting up property insurance. We will take care of the rest, ensuring all requirements of your purchase have been met and taking care to walk you through the process at a pace that works for you.
Estates
Handling the estate of a loved one can be complex—both technically and emotionally. You will encounter many questions, such as whether the estate needs to be probated, who should be in charge of the estate, who needs to be notified of your loved one’s passing, what happens to the property and possessions of your loved one, and what responsibilities you have before wrapping up the estate. We will guide you through these questions with thoroughness and compassion to help ensure your loved one’s wishes have been met.
Sale of Real Property
Selling a property can be a difficult process, but closing the transaction does not have to be. From reviewing your Offer to Purchase, to ensuring that all debts and expenses have been paid, to working with the Purchaser and their lawyer to exchange money for keys, to putting your sale proceeds into your hands, we are here to see you through to possession date and beyond. You do not need to contact our office prior to having a signed Offer to Purchase, however, if you have any questions, we are always happy to help before you make your property sale official.

Discussions about what you wish to happen if you should pass away or become incapable of handing your own day-to-day tasks will never be pleasant. Our goal is to be direct and comprehensive in outlining your wishes, while making these discussions as comfortable as possible. Having your Will, Power of Attorney and Health Care Directive documents in place now may save your loved ones time, money, and anguish once the time comes for these documents to be used. It can also provide you with the peace of mind knowing that you have left your affairs in order.

You may discover that you have a document or application that requires your signature to be witnessed by a Notary Public. You can either make an appointment or drop into our office to have your signature witnessed quickly and inexpensively. Be sure to bring a valid piece of photo identification, have the document fully completed prior to visiting our office, and, most importantly, do not sign the document until you are in the presence of the Notary Public.
